Elevate sales with search optimization

Who out there doesn't want to increase sales? How you ask? Well, customers have to find your product before they can buy it. Invest in your business and learn to optimize your listings for the existing Amazon search engine.

I have inserted links to related help pages and I have summarized the information associated with each help topic. Post any questions you have and I will work to answer them.

Amazon search glossary

A list of terms used in reference to search on Amazon.

My ASIN is unsearchable

There are four common reasons why your ASIN may be unsearchable. Learn how to address them.

Bullet points

The bullet points on the product detail page help to sell features and benefits of a product. Common mistakes made when writing bullet points include:

  • Text that is so long that customers need to click a more button to see them
  • Stuffing with keywords that make the information difficult to read
  • Poorly written

Bullet points always appear in full on product detail pages. However, not all content is discoverable because bullet points are not always indexed by the Amazon shopping algorithm.

Use search terms effectively

You enter your search terms into the Generic keyword field when listing or updating an ASIN. Go to the help page for examples of effective search terms and prohibited search terms.

Keyword attributes explained

A reference guide to the keyword attributes you encounter when managing product listings. Most of the keyword attributes require valid values, which can be found in Browse Tree Guides (BTGs).

Optimize your product discoverability

General guidelines to improving product discoverability. Learn the different elements that feed into search, the product detail page, titles, keywords, search terms, and optimization for brands.

Thank you for visiting the forums. I hope you gained some value from this posting.

"Who out there doesn't want to increase sales? How you ask? Well, customers have to find your product before they can buy it."

Then why does Amazon hide individual seller listings and promote its own sales instead? You hide us behind a selection that takes at least two clicks to find, when we used to be right there on the product page. This smacks of restraint of trade and is unfair to hundreds of thousands of sellers.

"Not Always"? How can we find out?

The system doesn't let editing of them anyway for non-brand registered items.

Your link here:

Gives details BUT these two have been running Together for WAY TOO LONG.

There are endless posts about suppressed listing due to Missing the Description. However the description fields are filled so why does the system "NOT SEE" them?

Hello,

This is a great feature! Do we need to be a brand owner to use this feature?
