I just started selling and I'm not seeing a way that I can send a custom email to the buyer to "request a review". Has this option been stripped out. I read that it used to be there. I called support and I don't feel confident in the answer support gave me.
Also, if you can no longer send a custom email, what is the purpose of the option to Request a Review, since Amazon already does that? Does it send another email? If so, does it send it immediately or does it wait a period of time? I don't want a situation where Amazon sends and email and I push that button and send another same day.

Only way to send a custom email is to use 3rd party software... there's many to be found in the Selling Partner AppStore
Do not take advice about using third party software. That is a good way to lose your account.
The Amazon-approved way to request a review is to use the link provided on the order detail page.
That requests both product review and seller feedback.
And no -- Amazon does not already request a review. Only in some instances.
That request link does not appear until it is an appropriate time to use it.
Hi @JoLo_Goods and welcome to The Forums!
Thanks for the post. Please note that Amazon will send out feedback requests when the item ships and 2 weeks after the item is received. Unfortunately, there is not a method for Sellers to view those communications.
There is also the New Seller group within the Seller Forums that provides a safe space for new Sellers to post any questions, interact with and learn from other Seller's threads, and meet and network with other new Sellers. If you haven’t already visited the group, you can access them by following the steps below:
• Top of your dashboard, click on Groups
• Under Discussion group, click on New Seller Community
I included some helpful links and a thread below for newbies:
Many brands and products are in restricted categories or require approval:
Categories and products requiring approval
Read what you agreed to, when you signed up:
Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement
Thoroughly read and understand:
Prohibited seller activities and actions (Code of Conduct)
Make sure to choose a Selling Plan that is appropriate for you:
Professional Selling Plan or Individual Selling Plan
Most importantly, watch the videos and read the .pdf files in:
Take a peak at The New Seller Tip thread as well.
Should you need anything, please hop on over to the Forums. We are all excited to have you.
