I recently created an Amazon seller account with the help of a friend. To assist me, I shared my credentials and bank account details with him. However, I found out that my seller account got linked to another account with prior copyright violations, an account my friend was working on. I need assistance in resolving this issue, as it has affected my ability to operate my own account without any violations.
"However, I found out that my seller account got linked to another account with prior copyright violations, an account my friend was working on. "
Your "friend" needed to tell you about the problem with their account BEFORE you worked with them and got your account linked.
When you say it is an account that "my friend was working on" is it THEIR account, or are they a Virtual Assistant that 'helps' sellers with their accounts?
In any case, you are going to have to PROVE to Amazon that you are not connected but since " I shared my credentials and bank account details with him." that is going to be extremely difficult.

Anyone answering will need to see what wording they used and what they are asking for.
Hello @Seller_KT8ukH4MrQ5PO,
Thank you for sharing your concerns with your account deactivation.
I appreciate you sharing these details as it helps identify the different potential scenarios you will encounter to address this situation. I will need to inquire more on the situation to ensure the best guidance is provided.

Most importantly what @Seller_kIukTwdhvntAp mentioned, was your friend the owner of the associated store or were they simply a virtual assistant? Can you also clarify what you mean by "I shared my credentials". Was your friend using your personal information to manage or maintain their store, or was this information only used to register your store? When your friend helped you set up your store, did you "hire" them including payment history or contracts? These documents will become extremely important for showing proof of separation from your friend. Another question I have is if you have already provided supporting information or explanation, if so what has been submitted?
If for example there are no contracts or other similar documents to validate the separation, we will require that your friend reinstates their store. If this is the required path, once they confirm reinstatement, you can use the standard appeal path to acknowledge the reactivation of the associated store. This prompts a review for compliance and if all issues are resolved, your store should be eligible for reactivation.
As additional guidance I am also sharing our seller university video on how to address a multiple account policy violation. This offers similar information provided here but in a different format. Some may find it easier to consume this information in video format.

Should you need additional guidance on this situation I will ask that you share you performance notification as @Seller_kIukTwdhvntAp also pointed out. If your friend needs support with their situation, I will need you to share their deactivation notice. Their notice will allow me to provide guidance and how to resolve their situation. You mentioned it was a copyright violation, are you aware of it being a rights owner complaint, suspected intellectual property violation, repeat violations? What steps have been taken to resolve their issue?
The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
Emet.
My friend was helping me voluntarily without any payment or formal contract. He was acting as a virtual assistant for another account that is linked with mine. His support was purely out of goodwill, and there was no business arrangement between us. I had shared my account credentials with my friend to help me manage the account.
