Why does the RED alert section have the WRONG DAY for a shipping deadline??
Right next to the ACTUAL ship by date is the red UNSHIPPED wording that says to CONFIRM by the next day! If you do that you will be LATE. Why are the dates not the same? This makes no sense.
I mistakenly used that time frame a few times until I realize it was totally wrong.
WTH??

Hello @Seller_xouAbPXPlUfbu Thanks for visiting the forums and sharing that report.
The best next step for you is to file a seller support ticket, include one or more affected Order IDs and a screenshot of that discrepancy, and share that Case ID with me.
In the meantime, you should follow the ship-by date in the Order Details and the Order Type column.
Sellers have previously expressed confusion over how that information is presented, and I am continuing to share feedback with our partner teams.
Why are these ship by dates different?

"Why does the RED alert section have the WRONG DAY for a shipping deadline??"
The red alert does NOT have the 'wrong day" but you are misinterpreting what happens.
IF you use Amazon 'Buy Shipping' they will automatically enter the tracking number and notify the buyer that the item(s) have been shipped.
In that case there is nothing for you to do since Amazon did all the work.
For those of us that do NOT use Amazon 'Buy Shipping' the red alert is a 'reminder' that we have put in the tracking number for the shipment that we were required to SEND the day before.
I have ONE left today that I need to get in the mail. Then Amazon gives me 24 hours (more or less) to put the tracking number in for that package.
Because my dreaded 'handling time GAP' is currently up to 1.8 and is too close for comfort of getting to or above the magic draconian penalty number of '2' I will wait until late tonight to put in the tracking number.
From the Amazon site --
"You handed off packages to carriers on average 1.8 days before your promised handling time."
I have made a decision that if I get up to the '2' I will actually ship LATE to avoid their penalties!
Opening a ticket is not the solution. Education is the solution.

If you use Amazon Buy Shipping, ship by what the Order Detail page says is the last ship by date.
*
*
When you see something like the following on the Manage Order page ...
*
The Confirm as shipped (which is under the Action column) is a reminder for those who do not use Amazon Buy Shipping to enter shipping confirmation to avoid getting a late-shipment. The order still has to be shipped by the last date shown as the Ship by date (which is under the Order type column).
This new "Confirm as shipped by {x-date} to avoid late-shipment" is designed to help the seller remember to enter in tracking if they buy shipping off of Amazon AND for the seller to get paid AND is needed by Amazon for their new OTDR policy to work effectively since this new calculation is based on when the label for the order is printed on Amazon or when the outside tracking info is entered into Amazon.
Again ... opening a ticket will not solve the issue. Understanding the purpose of the new red notice and who and how it effects a seller is all that is needed.
Proper education of changes goes a long way when instituting new policies for both those who work for Amazon and for the sellers who these policies effect.
I made that mistake when it first came out. It just means exactly what it says. However, the date changes at midnight PST. I thought I had all that day to ship. But, as soon as midnight hit, every item was late. The late shipment only haunts your account only a week or so.
For the Handle Time Gap calculation, yes ... the date the label is purchased on it what is being used for the calculation. So if you buy on Amazon Buy Shipping the night before you ship, the calculation is done on that night ... not the next day when you take it to the shipping service.
OTDR is calculated based on your order's estimated delivery date given to the customer at the time of the order which is on the order detail page as the last ship by date. The idea of when you purchase your label verses shipping only effects OTDR in relation to the order's estimated delivery date.
With that said, your INR protection when using Amazon Buy Shipping does not begin with the label purchase but when you get the first scan by the shipping service.
There are several "moving" parts with this new policy for OTDR. Each part has it's own parameters ...
@Seller_xouAbPXPlUfbu Are you using AHT and/or SSA?
