Welcome to the ever changing platform! They continue to strive to move 3P's off the platform one change at a time so there is more room for China sellers (that they are more easily able to steal from)
I find the new add product page a slight improvement - at least you don't have to invent a list price (I normally use the All Attributes page). Also, the back space in the description now works properly. On the other hand, it's a nuisance to have to tell them FBM every time. This should have a default setting.
I tried to list a book today and received the long form asking all types of additional questions. I checked on amazon and this new long form does not apply to media. Can someone at amazon please correct this. Thank you
I copied Amazon's policy and media should not be included
Updated attributes within the Add Products and Add Products via Upload interface
The requirements to create listings have been updated from December 11, 2023, for all products in Amazon's worldwide stores (1750 types) except those from media, digital and handmade categories. Impacted product types and attributes are available in this spreadsheet.
I take back what I said about the list price. If you go back to edit your listing, it does want a list price then. Huh?
I don't know how you've avoided it. It's been a requirement for most of us booksellers for maybe a couple years now...? The consensus is to just put a zero in that field.
When I begin listing a book, I'll review it. The list price of the item doesn't concern me much; I find it to be a waste of time. I set the price I want based on the information from the scanner app.
I'm not certain what you're referring to. On the form, it needs to be specified whether you, the merchant, will fulfill the order, or if you want the warehouse to handle it. Also, regarding quantity, how many items do you have?
I have had no issues with selling on the platform.
On the upper left hand side there are 3 check boxes for Attributes. You can change it to "Required" and that will reduce the boxes you see to just the ones you have to fill out.
