Read onlyHello everyone,
My Amazon seller account has been deactivated for verification of Unsuitable Inventory. After submitting all documents, and passing video verification, the account remains deactivated because Amazon believes I used an unverified supplier to purchase my products. Here's the exact response from Amazon:
"We received your submission but we are unable to reactivate your account. We observed that you have supplied documentation to Amazon which were from an un-verifiable supplier. We previously requested these documents from you to verify your supply chain. As a result, your account will not be reactivated and we will not release the associated FBA inventory under investigation."
I contacted my supplier, a major distributor, and he confirmed that he is authorized by all the brands whose products he sells and has all the necessary supporting documentation. However, due to their company policy, they cannot provide the necessary documents directly to me, but are willing to provide them directly to Amazon.
Despite my two emails with the supplier's exact contact information and an invitation to contact them directly for further verification, Amazon has not responded to my request to contact the supplier directly. I've noticed in other forum threads posts by Amazon representatives that Amazon likely won't call the supplier, although it may do so. Also, it is noted that Amazon may contact manufacturers to verify suppliers. I would appreciate it if Amazon could contact our supplier to request information and documents and, if necessary, the manufacturers to verify the distributor's information.

All of this does not matter. THEY may have authorization but that does NOT flow through to anyone else. They may very well have an authorization to SELL -- just not at the wholesale level!
Do you have an LOA from the BRAND(S) involved permitting you to sell specifically on Amazon?
If not, you have the proverbial cart before the proverbial horse --
An LOA from the BRAND FIRST and then
Source from authorized suppliers.
Frankly, there is a 99.9% likelihood that Amazon knows all of the AUTHORIZED wholesale distributors in the country. If Amazon says they are unable to verify the supplier it most likely means you are dealing with one of the TikTok/YouTube ones that have thousands of brands but NO authorizations from the brands to sell to anyone.
Key question -- did they ask you for your tax exempt number?
Yes, sure.
In addition, in 2021, we already passed a similar video verification on Amazon, checking all invoices and supply chains throughout our history. Then we had the same supplier. And they passed the test the first time. At that time the supplier did not raise any doubts.
Hey there @Seller_3JcZbq49LVj8n,
I just wanted to stop in and say thank you for utilizing the Seller Forums.
I also would like to thank @Seller_kIukTwdhvntAp for the wealth of knowledge and correct information they have already provided here.
It is imperative that you are always sourcing from an authorized distributor or a brand itself, in addition to obtaining the proper sourcing documentation and authorization at all times.
Without the requested documentation which must meet those requirements in addition to being verifiable, the team may not be able to guarantee the reactivation of your account. I suggest continuing to monitor any future communication for requests.
Regards,
Stevie.
