Read onlyI normally ship all my orders either on time or early but last Friday i messed up and didn't look at my orders to see when they need to be shipped by, and it turns out there's one order that was supposed to be shipped on that day. I am going to be shipping it out on Monday, but I was wondering how bad this is for my account and if anyone has had experience with this.
Certainly others have experienced this.
How bad? It will affect your metrics of course. If you are a high volume seller the effect will be negligible; if a low volume seller it could cost you the buy box eligibility -- although a delayed action with that.
I had a screw up over the 4th of July weekend last year and didn't realize Friday was a normal ship day and had over 140 shipments that were late and it destroyed my late shipment rate. It was very nerve wracking and, it took a few weeks to get everything back on track, but I made sure to reach out to Amazon to let them know I was actively rectifying the issue. As long as you don't continue the trend you will be fine.
