Hello! I also opened an account on Amazon Seller the other day, I preferred to have it active for the USA, I have made Mexico and Canada inactive for the moment, specifically because the money in my card account was taken but the account has been inactive for the USA for a few days, how long does it take to activate the account? I don't understand why the card with which the payment was made is being refused in the account. Thank you.

Because you need a valid credit card, not debit to list/sell on Amazon.
As explained above -- it must be a true credit card. Amazon will take their fees from the debit card, but it will not serve to activate your selling account.
Hello @Seller_AI1Yjc2c0fiN3,
Thank you for reaching out. As mentioned by some of our experienced sellers you will need a true credit card. When you register as a seller, you will be prompted to enter a credit card that will accept international charges and that has a valid billing address located in an eligible country. Your credit card will be billed the monthly fee (if applicable) or USD 1 (excl. VAT) for purposes of validating the card. For more information, go to Registration requirements by country.
The following Credit Cards are accepted:
Note: I recommend always using a valid credit card although debit cards may be accepted in certain circumstances and meet requirements for initial charge, there are often additional features or limits associated with debit cards which will cause them to be invalid. To avoid running into verification issues and delays, I recommend using a credit card from the beginning of setup.
Please let me know if you need any additional assistance.
Cheers,
Micah
