Single Member LLC, DBA - Detailed Seller Information

So even though I have a single member LLC and a DBA there’s no way to get that information listed under the “Detailed Seller Information” on our seller profile?

What about if we were a single member LLC taxed as an S-Corp? Would that allow our seller profile to show our LLC name at least?

Did you read the pinned thread where you are told where you can change this info within seller central?

@Cougheeshop–

  • I am a single member LLC and have always and only used my EIN on Amazon. Not all single member LLCs have EINs.
  • I was able to change my Legal Entity name via the tax interview from my individual name to my LLC name, which now displays on my Seller Profile.
  • I was not able to use my DBA, even though it is legally registered in my state, because it is not listed on my EIN registration. @JwsMarket has posted a partial workaround possibility.
  • My business address displays on my Seller Profile, pulled from Business Address in Account Info.

:warning: I am not a lawyer or accountant, and my experience should not be considered advice.

More details and screenshots are available in my posts here:

@yenobek has also done the same, with success.

How do you file taxes if your 1099 is sent in your LLC’s name and not your personal name?

I do have an EIN but when taking the tax interview even if you select Business instead of Individual it still asks you “LLC Type” which you can select from C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership.

I am not any of those so unless you are a single member LLC but elect to be taxed as an S-Corp I don’t see how else a single member LLC can properly fill out the business side of the tax interview.

EDIT: ok I see from the comments your linked you choose individual used the EIN and just input your LLC name for the name portion, but yes that will send your 1099 in your LLC name instead of your personal name, do you not file under your personal taxes using schedule C? I thought you would need the 1099 in your name not the LLC’s name.

Can someone please help me? I have read all the threads above and am still confused. Like everyone else,I do not want my first and last name appearing in the detailed seller info. I opened my account 10 years ago as a Sole Proprietor using my SS#.

I am now trying to retake the Tax Interview in hopes of having my personal info removed from appearing to the world.

If I file for a LLC and EIN, will the work? I already used an EIN as a Sole Proprietor and nothing changed.

I am really seeking good, solid advice strep by step. I thank anyone in advance!!!
