"How Amazon Crushed My Small Business Dreams: A Cautionary Tale for Small Inventors"
Amazon is a real blood sucker, a total hell for small inventors. Lemme share my story, I started my Amazon store with big dreams to earn livelihood for my family, I invested my hard earned money, made my inventory and shipped it to Amazon warehouse. I spent a lot on PPC and also sold on loss to get good ranking. After spending a lot and with hard work on my product quality I got very good reviews and got good ranking and just as I started to make profits I got a notice from Amazon that my account has been deactivated (without any reason). I appealed but my account wasn’t reinstated. Lastly when I asked Amazon to send my inventory back, it was sent out in more than 30 packages. So what should had been max $50 of shipping costed me over $600 in shipping back to my home. It was such a nightmare and left me nowhere, I spent all my savings and I’m now standing in middle of nowhere. I would like to suggest everyone specifically small investors never ever invest on Amazon [Moderator Edit: removed inappropriate commentary]

Accounts do not get deactivated for no reason-you would have received a notice. Amazon is not an easy platform to sell on, you have to do your research.

I always suggest for new sellers to ship the items yourself to start out.
That way you have all the inventory in your possession.
You received many small returns because Amazon split your inventory into many warehouses.

All deactivations have emails that get sent to the seller. I will take your post as a rant that is not asking for assistance.

removal orders are priced by the piece.

We can't reply meaningfully without knowing what sort of product you were selling.

Yep, and everyone else thinks it is your fault somehow...until it happens to them.

Enough with your pity party. Get back on your horse, find other venues to sell your product online. There are others out there. And you can also sell on your own website. Get out in your community and join your chamber of commerce. Sell your product in other places in person. Get the word out. Go speak to other business people you know and get the word out. And I'm just throwing stuff out at the top of my head. I really don't have any clue what you sell. If your product is good it will sell. If it isn't that good then find another product.
Try not to focus on the WhoDoneIt and instead focus on the how to fix it.
I really want to believe that you didn't rely on one venue only to sell your product. If it was then I say beware of the sheep that offers you his coat.

I have to wonder what the real motivation to split up inventory is. Amazon states its to maximize customer experience and increase shipping speed. While I have no doubt that keeping a product in California increases shipping speed to the west coast, I am wondering by exactly by how much and does it really make that big a difference. I can see how if there were same day or next day receipt it would make a difference. Splitting up inventory on the sellers dime provides a great opportunity for shipping profits.
