the buyer needs absolutely no proof that they got the wrong item.
Safe-T will 100% side with the Buyer as soon as they have made this lie in their return reason, even if they receive exactly what they ordered.
to the Buyer they may not even think they are lying, they seem to read "wrong item sent" as "wrong item ordered" in their mind.
Safe-T will not reimburse the Seller for Outbound or Return Shipping fees in this instance. This is a huge cost for Sellers these days, along with the inevitable illegitimate Carrier Chargebacks.
at the end of the day, Safe-T are rewarding insincere Buyers who lie about the return reason, with no requirement for proof, not even a photo in evidence that what the buyer received was wrong.
compare that to when a Seller receives a wrong item returned by a Buyer. completely different story! Seller must provide a whole raft of photographic evidence to try and get our money back, and then in our experience anyway, Safe-T will give the Buyer all their money back - even when the Buyer has sent us someone elses goods 🤦♂️
WRONG ITEM SENT needs to be called out for the scam that it is - and Buyers should need to provide at the very least a photo proving they got the wrong item.
in our experience, 9 times out of 10 wrong item was not sent, the Buyer got it wrong in their head, and simply ordered the wrong item!
