Read onlyThis is my first time experiencing a free replacement order. I'm quite confused because the original order was never returned and a return doesn't even appear to be processing. The new replacement has already been expedited, even though Amazon's replacement policy states:
To replace an item: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GP7Z9RS868ZP5J9F#:~:text=You%20can%20replace%20items%20eligible,and%20place%20a%20new%20order
Go to Your Orders and select Return or replace items beside the item you want to replace.
Select the item that you want to replace and select a reason for return.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
A replacement order, with the same shipping speed as the original item, will be created. You'll need to return the original item by the 'Return By Date' provided to you at the time of return creation to avoid being charged for keeping both the original and replacement items.
The replacement order may be shipped only after you ship the original item(s) back to Amazon. We recommend you to ship back the original item(s) as soon as you request a replacement.
So essentially, it appears Amazon just sent them one of my products for free AND they get to keep the old one, which they must have complained to customer service about but I have yet to know anything about this complaint. There is no record of it. Are replacements issued without requiring returns?
I'm viewing all the returns ever issued on my products under Manage Orders --> FBA Returns. This is the correct place, right? I also looked under Manage SAFE-T Claims.
Thanks for your insight.
Amazon now ships replacements immediately and expects the buyer to send back the original in a timely manner. If they do not return it by the "Return By Date", Amazon is supposed to charge them for the one they did not return. They do this on FBM now, too.
