Verify Deposit Method Issue: Personal Account Holder Names Required for Amazon Sellers with Corporate Accounts

Hello Amazon,

Many sellers are currently experiencing an issue with a missing "verify deposit method" button on their Amazon seller accounts. While we appreciate that you are investigating this matter, we would like to address another problem that many sellers are facing regarding bank account verification.

Amazon is requiring personal account holder names on bank statements, which is causing significant issues for those who hold accounts in the name of their corporation. As you may know, many Amazon sellers who are brand registered hold bank accounts under their LLC, and it is not possible for their personal name to appear on the bank statement as the account holder.

We believe that this issue has not yet been addressed and could potentially lead to compliance issues for sellers who are unable to provide the requested information. Many sellers may not be aware of it because they were unable to check the bank statement required by Amazon in time as the verify deposit method button was gone. Luckily, We were able to check in on time.

As You can see attached, our deposit method account is a business account(Corp) but while uploading the bank statement there is no button for selecting the Legal entity account name. How we are supposed to upload a business bank statement with an individual name as our account holder name?

@Steve_Amazon This will be an issue for any account holder who has an Amazon account and a bank account with the same LLC name. The proper way to set them up. You might want to loop in your accounting/financial dept. on this issue. Appreciate your help!

I have a single-member LLC. Amazon requires that I have my seller account in my personal name, yet for legal reasons the bank account is in the LLC name.

And yet, I'm missing the verify button so I can't do anything, period.

Well written and this is exactly the problem that we are having too. I hate to sound like a broken record here as I've added comments to other posts but we had to have our bank write an official letter with the account name that had our company on it, the account number, my name and wording that proved that I am am official signer on the account all on a bank letterhead signed by an official at the bank- AND EVEN WITH THAT Amazon responded that it wasn't sufficient which makes no sense because it addressed every concern they had.

This has to be an error or one of their employees didn't understand the assignment.

I have the same issue. I went ahead and submitted my documents (since I did have a verify button) and received a "denied" email since only my business name was on the back statement (even though it matched my Amazon Seller Account). They said I must remedy it within 30 days or my account will be deactivated, but there is no way to remedy. I opened a case 5 days ago, but no one has responded.

Has not been an issue for us, through 2 banks. Our checks have the corporate name on them, and my full name is on the account as an authorised signatory. Amazon accepted both, and never gave a issue.

1st bank was a major US conglomerate, 2nd bank is a local/ regional savings and loan. Verification took us about a day at most.

Has there been a policy change in the last few years?

This appears to be a brand new problem just since the Account Re-verifications this year.

I have not been hit with the re-verification stick yet but My account is pretty darn new (2019) many of the people re-verifying have been around 10-15-20+ years on Amazon and the identity verification back in the beginning was way different than it is now days.

And this problem may are screaming about is that 1- they got a glitch in the system so people are being told to re-verify their deposit method BUT there is no button or way to do it.

2- there are corporate accounts being expected to have the amazon personal account holder's personal name on the corporate account as the account holder and they are NOT accepting the letter from the bank showing the personal name as a signatory on the corporate account.

Likely there is a BOT running this and it is not programed correctly so it is demanding things that make no sense.
