I'm on the VAT registration page and have learned that "Citizen ID" is the UTR number. Which one do I use, my personal UTR or the UTR assigned to my limited company?

Apologies if this has an obvious answer but with stuff like this I want to be absolutely certain.

I am a UK registered VAT business. When i try to enter my business registration number (I assume this is the same as the company registration number shown under your ltd company on companies house) i get an invalid number error.

I have tried the UTR and the VAT number in this box instead, both with and without the GB. PLease advise?

I would like to change the company registered to a new company. I already have another registered company which also has a VAT number. But I am unable to transfer. The message I am getting it is

We are unfortunately not able to proceed with your legal entity change request.

You account must be in active state to initiate legal entity change.

Can someone advise why am getting this message?
