Deferred payments and charges

I am super confused as to why I have a large amount set to be charged to my bank account. All of my payments are deferred and I have had an extremely high amount of expedited shipments due to Halloween, (all of which have been paid for by customers) but all those funds are being held. Now my bank account is set to get hit with over $2k in 3 days and right before my bills are due???? Amazon couldn’t give me an answer and I need to know what is going on. My account is healthy. I don’t know what I did, but I need to know what is going on and why I am being charged for shipping when the funds are already in my account, just being held. Why do I have to pay out of pocket for expedited shipping when the customer has already paid for it? All

Of my orders are FBM and have tracking. I need answers!

Hold backs are based on many reasons. the two main reasons are new sellers with a short history of sales, and experiences sellers who have a massive increase of sales all of the sudden.

It is not like an Amazon employee intended to single you out, it is all Auto-Bot controlled by Amazon who hedges against your risk. Sort of like one's personal credit score.

New DD+7 policy. Same stuff happening here. Amazon holds payment at least 7 days till the order gets delivered. Some orders don't even get shipped out within 7 days, and some subscribe and save even longer. Add an additional 7 days on top of it.

It's not just you. 50% of my Halloween revenue and all my revenue for the last 10 days whether paid or invoiced is going in that column. In fact money is leaving my normal balance already being held and moved into deferred. It's just anoher way for amazon to keep your money and my money longer and try to push us out of business so they can copy our IP and do it themselves. It's a long plan to strangle us.

This may be what you are talking about, the new deferred payments. I saw this in Amazon News about a week ago.

I hope for you it is this and not a problem. Good luck!

View your reserved payments in the new Deferred Transactions report.

As part of our Payments based on delivery date policy, we typically reserve your sales proceeds until seven days after an order is delivered. To provide you with more visibility into these funds that we've reserved, we've added a new deferred transactions status on the Payments dashboard. By November 1, your delivery date reserve amounts will display as Deferred transactions in the Total balance box at the top of the Payments dashboard. Until then, they may still display under the account-level reserve field on your Payments dashboard and reports. Note that if you aren't subject to our delivery date policy, your dashboard won't be changed. To view more details, click the deferred transactions balance. The Transaction view page will display the list of orders that make up this balance, the deferral reason, and the estimated payment release date for each order.
