A ZPL file is the printer format for Zebra Printers. If you download the file, you basically have an XML like file with markup telling the printer how to format the label. It’s basically just a text file of instructions. It’s not going to look like a PDF file with a formatted label.

Instead of a barcode, you’re going to get instructions for creating a barcode:

^FO100,550^BC^FD12345678^FS

If you have a file you desperately need to print from a ZPL, look up Labelary. they can convert it into a PNG or PDF.

  1. Click “Label Print Orientation”
  2. Choose the desired layout / format

Alternate option:
Install “Print Connect”

when i save the file how do i open it so i can print it
