Hello, I am trying to add my own book (I am the author), but I am having some problems. I do have an assigned ISBN with barcode for my book (I provided all the pictures and all the necessary information to Amazon Selling Partner Support), but they are asking for:
GS1 Certificate or a screenshot from the GS1 database.
Proof stating that the brand you are using is affiliated with the UPC/EAN owner.
How can I obtain my GS1 Certificate or be added to the GS1 database?
I don't have a brand name assigned to my book because I am a self-publisher. However, I am the owner of my company and want to sell my products under this company.
Please let me know if there are any further steps or requirements I need to fulfill.
Thank you!
Konstantin
GS1 has nothing to do with ISBN -- that is all through Bowker.
This old post may help (or not)

If you are self-publishing, Amazon doesn't want you to send in books you print on your own via Seller Central. It's not set up for new printed books unless you are using professional-grade book distribution through Ingram or IPG, which is unlikely for self-published authors.
Amazon wants you to use print on demand services through Amazon KDP or IngramSpark. It's less risky for everyone involved if the book doesn't sell.
