Hi there, We want to know what is the procedure to introduce new category classification on Amazon.

We sell clothing meant for people with medical conidtions like Eczema, Psoriasis and other Skin related issues.

Currently, there's no such classification available in the Clothing & Apparel category. We cannot list the products in Health & Personal Care category because we do not have an option to update clothing related attributes and size names in this category.

Just as there's a classification for Nursing or Pregnancy related products in Apparel category, there needs to be a classification for this category as well.

Hi there- anyone have experience getting their handmade listings changed from "generic" to their brand?

I've had several fba handmade listings under the "generic" brand for a while since I was not listed in the Brand Registry. I went through the process of initiating a Trademark through Amazon's IP Accelerator and was approved for the Brand Registry. I'm now unable to change any of my listings from generic to my brand as Amazon no longer allows changes for that category after a listing is created. When I first listed on Amazon, I was able to list any brand I wanted, so I wasn't aware of this change. I don't wholly understand the logic, and I understand it even less for handmade products. These products are mine that I have designed and made...they should be able to be listed under my brand name. I have reached out to seller support but just received the policy language in response.

I get that this policy is in place but wanted to see if anyone had any success in changing to their brand from "generic" before I recreate all new listings and send in FBA inventory. Thanks!

Hello everyone, I have encountered some confusing problems regarding how to list my handmade products. I thought it would be appropriate to write this on the forum for those who are curious about this issue and the answers to these questions like me.

There seem to be 2 different ways to list our handmade products on Amazon. I am unsure which one is correct. Here are our options;

1. Always list handmade products under the "Handmade Products" category.

2. Fill in the "Handmade Classification" section in the product details by choosing from the classic and standard categories that are most suitable for you and your product.

Which method should someone who produces and sells handmade products use to list their products correctly?
