I've gotten two emails from "Amazon Services" saying I have a CD set in my FBA inventory that is going to be destroyed if I don't reply immediately. I did have this item listed for 7 years in my MF inventory; in November of last year, I received a notice that a rights owner had filed a complaint and the listing had been removed. Upon receiving the notice, I immediately deleted it from my Amazon inventory. It has not appeared in my inventory since.
To further confuse issues, this item was never in my FBA inventory - it's been collecting dust on my shelves for 7 years. I currently have 5 items at FBA - all books. I don't believe I've EVER sent a CD to FBA.
I don't see any strikes on my account health page, nor is there anything on my Amazon FBA inventory pages. What, if anything, do I do about these emails? There's obviously no inventory to destroy, but I do want to make sure my account isn't somehow adversely affected.
Interestingly, the page for this ASIN (B0071BXYZY Music of Your Life) is still active with 5 third party listings. You'd think if there was really a copyright infringement with this product, Amazon would have shut this page down completely.
If this is an email to your personal email and not in notifications I would be careful clicking any links on it as it could be phishing. Check your performance notifications and contact seller support.
Hello @Seller_9e9O9DUyGquP9,
I have reviewed your Performance Notification and can see that this did come from Amazon. However, I have reviewed your inventory and your listings and confirmed that there is no inventory in FBA and your listing is not active in your Seller Account. As there is no inventory, you can ignore the message or reply back stating that you do not have any inventory in FBA and that you have deleted your listing.
To ensure that you don't receive any further copyright concerns for the ASIN, ensure that you have fully removed your contributions as instructed in this help page. Ensure you follow the section that states 'Delete both your offers and item data contributions'. If you don't fully delete your contributions, you are still at risk of getting infringement complaints. When you upload the feed, you only need to fill out the SKU you used, then put a d in the add/delete column, then upload the file.
If you have further questions, please reach out to Seller Support for assistance. If you still need help after they fully investigate your case, if it's related to FBA, please create a New Discussion and select Fulfill Orders, then FBA, Warehouse. Ensure that you provide your case ID in the new post so that we can investigate for you.
I hope this is helpful!
Michelle
