A-Z claim found in favor of customer even though postage was paid through AMAZON and shows delivery on time

Usually AMAZON has covered this but not in this case. The postage was purchased from AMAZON and was delivered within the window given by AMAZON. The customer filed an A-Z claim and AMAZON withdrew money from us. I appealed and they decided to uphold the decision. I'm at a loss...if an AMAZON moderator can help I would appreciate it. Or perhaps someone can advise a different course of action.

Do you allow automation on handling time /shipping templates?

That promise is now tied into that.

These threads are becoming more common, and I believe are going to become even more so in the near future.

Amazon needs to be held to its written word.

AMAZON STATEMENT

“For Claims Protection: Amazon Buy Shipping shipments qualify for A-to-z and SAFE-T claims protections against "Package didn’t arrive" claims when all of the following conditions are true:

  1. The buyer was reimbursed by Amazon for not receiving their package
  2. The shipping label was purchased with Amazon Buy Shipping and was a "Claims Protected" shipping service. The "Claims Protected" badge will be displayed in the Amazon Buy Shipping user interface before purchase and in the order details page Shipping label purchase section after the label is purchased. (Note: "Late Delivery Risk" labels are ineligible for protections).
  3. The order was shipped on time, which will be considered at the moment of the carrier’s first scan, not when you confirm shipment.

HISTORY:

Purchased on Monday, November, XX, 20__.

Marked as shipped on Amazon on Monday, November, XX, 20__.

First Scan on Monday, November, XX, 20__.

I purchased Amazon Buy Shipping.

I Shipped and it was Scanned in time.

I am covered according to the policy.

You have incorrectly funded this from my account. Since I followed the policy, please mark the claim as Amazon funded, refund my account and remove the ODR Defect.

NOW ... if ANY of the main 3 requirements aren't true then you are NOT covered.

Happens ALL the time, welcome to Amazon!! The place where customers can commit fraud with no worries.

I took off 85% of my inventory last year due to the consistent theft we encountered. eBay, Etsy, Shopify, Wix, any of the other platforms offer protection for sellers when you play by the rules.

On Amazon, a chat rep will not even bother to look into any issues, they will simply take your funds and give it to the customer, no returns required. Amazon will force the seller, even with indisputable proof, to give refund and no returned product.

It is amazing to me that Amazon has gotten away with it for so long after the endless threads about this issue.

Did you remember to apply the hidden, random hoops you have to jump through? Remember, the change them randomly all the time.

I swear, Amazon is becoming worse than UHC when it comes to denying legitimate claims. They must be trying out UHC's new AI that was designed to deny 90% of all claims
