First time using Fed Ex "SAVER" and got hit with a big adjustment charge through fedex. We have been shipping these pool inflatables for years with same dimensions through ups and usps and no issues. They are about 35 lbs and 22x12x9 dimensions. We put routine dimensions and weight and shockingly Fed ex came first which never happens and was cheapest and quickest delivery time. Around $25 to 27 in 2-3 days. UPS ground usually around $35-40. We Dropped off packages at Fed Ex store and everything was good until 3 weeks later, we noticed our amazon account was debited about $4000. Checked transactions and saw we were charged about $180-250 per package and we had 20-25 packages. The weight stayed the same but they said the dimension were adjusted from 22x12x9 to 22x22x9. So we got charged literally $200 each for 10 inches which is inaccurate. Even my mechanic calls me before doing any other repairs. We also got Charged a Fuel Surcharge and a base fee and a local delivery fee. At least a courtesy call or email before charging me. If so we would've sticked with the usual shipping through UPS. AND Of course, no help from Amazon support, told me to contact fedex. We contacted fedex and they said contact amazon. Fedex is really the one responsible because they did the adjustment and billed Amazon. Got a hold of a Revenue Manager from Fed EX and they said to proceed they need Account # from Amazon and Invoice which Amazon doesn't provide. We filed a complaint with Fed Ex Corporate and BBB. If no response we will go through legal action small claims with FED EX.Will update once we hear back.
Sorry to hear that, that is certainly the pits. That is so strange that 25 packages all got mis-measured to be 22x22x9. As far as I knew, the packages were measured automatically when going through the FedEx system by lasers on a box by box basis, but it sounds like since yours were all sent together that someone at FedEx manually entered in the dimensions, but messed up when doing so. Crazy. Buying labels through Amazon is definitely risky in the event of these types of situations. I also had one recently where FedEx had mis-measured a package resulting in around a $450 additional charge. Thankfully I had shipped through my own FedEx account linked through Amazon, though, so I was able to call FedEx Revenue and have it promptly fixed.
Hello! @Seller_fzzW1BUlOdlnA
Thank you for using the Forums. I am sorry you are facing difficulties getting support on this, this must be frustrating.
I know you posted this a week ago, but I wanted to double-check if there has been any progress or instructions from FedEx? FedEx should not be asking for account numbers, as this is not visible to sellers or to us. Please let me know, and I will see what opportunities we have to move forward with this.
