We want to bring to the attention of fellow sellers a serious issue we've been facing for the past few months. There has been a sudden rise in fake orders placed using Amazon Business Customer accounts, all with the Cash on Delivery (COD) option. These orders are often cancelled or rejected during or just before delivery, causing a spike in RTOs and operational losses.

A clear pattern has emerged — the customer names used in these orders are frequently Hindu deity names (e.g., Krishna, Jai Shree Ram), celebrity names (e.g., Kriti Sanon, Tiger Shroff, Karan Aujla), cricketer names (e.g., Shadab, Prayag), or completely random/abusive text. Based on this behavior, we strongly suspect affiliate marketing abuse, where someone is likely placing bulk fake orders for personal gain or to harm genuine sellers.

We have raised this issue with our Amazon Account Managers and also created multiple tickets through Seller Support. Unfortunately, the responses have either been automated templates or indicate a lack of understanding of the issue. It’s extremely disappointing and frustrating that no meaningful action has been taken so far.

We urge other sellers to stay alert and request Amazon to investigate this pattern seriously before more sellers are affected.
