Hello Fellow Sellers,
I recently faced an issue where my Seller Fulfilled Account was deactivated due to an "Inaccurate Pricing Information" violation, and I’m trying to understand how this differs from Amazon's Fair Marketplace Pricing Policy.
Here’s what happened:
I received violations for "Inaccurate Pricing Information" on my listings.
Most of these listings had never been sold—they were just listed.
Other sellers were offering the same products at the same price, yet I was the only one flagged.
Unlike Fair Marketplace Pricing Policy violations (which usually relate to price gouging or unfair pricing practices), this Inaccurate Pricing violation appears to be targeting price mismatches or discrepancies in Amazon’s system.
Amazon requested invoices, supplier authorization, and transaction proof—I provided everything, but my appeal was still rejected.
My Questions:
🔹 What exactly is the difference between "Inaccurate Pricing Information" and "Fair Marketplace Pricing Policy"?
🔹 Why are some sellers flagged while others remain active at the same price?
🔹 Has anyone successfully appealed an "Inaccurate Pricing Information" violation? If so, how?
🔹 Is this a new enforcement trend that sellers should be aware of?
If anyone has insights or has dealt with this before, your help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
Hello @Seller_usdItYDo1x3Ot,
Thank you for providing the details I requested so I can look into this further.
I was able to collaborate with the appropriate teams about your situation. The notification mentions pricing as a possible issue, however this can be due to inaccurate information alone. It can also be a mix of the inaccurate pricing along with the inaccurate information for the listings under review. I reviewed the ASIN: B019WTPJR8 from the performance notification you shared and I found there to be inaccurate information.
For example:
*ASIN: B019WTPJR8 has the brand name listed as Sattie. Since this is a Coffee Mate product this confirmed to have inaccurate information.
Moreover, I did not receive any Inaccurate pricing information violation on these three ASIN's mentioned in this notification.
However, the only listings on which I received Inaccurate Pricing Information (B08N56XK6Z) had never been sold—only listed.
As I mentioned, this is considered an account level review so you do not have to have a previous listing level violations or sales of the item, for you to be asked to supply documentation for them.
I cannot speak to what is going on with other sellers on their account. I will only have access to review details with your situation because you have allowed me to.
This may be due to what the listed price is set to and what information is included in the listing itself. We also consider several factors including market price when deciding what these products should be priced on average.
Providing exactly what is requested in the performance notification is the only way to get this concern addressed. I checked your most recent submission and I noticed that you have submitted invoices for multiple ASINs that are not under review. You can leave those out of your next submission for ease of view.
It is best to focus on the 3 ASINs that were in the deactivation performance notification. I see that you have only provided invoices for the ASIN: B000FQ0PUO since it was the only item that had received orders. You had a total of 25 orders for this ASIN and only 3 of those orders were fulfilled so the qty on the invoices you provided for that ASIN should cover your sales volume in the last 365 days.
When listing a product, you should have the items on hand unless you have a valid contract with a drop shipping company where you can still receive invoices upon sale of the item. This may cause an issue if you do not have invoices for the other 2 items to prove that there is no inaccurate information or pricing in your listings.
This being said, you may continue to submit the requested documents and any new information you receive from your supplier for our team to review. If the review team is unable to verify the documents or your supplier, we cannot guarantee a resolution of this issue.
I know this is not what you were hoping to learn, but I will always be upfront with you about what I find. Please continue to utilize this thread for further support.

Hello @Seller_usdItYDo1x3Ot,
Thank you for posting concerns with your account deactivation here on the forums.
From what you have shared I see that your account has been deactivated inaccurate pricing information and you are seeking guidance about how to get this violation addressed and what the differences are between this policy and the fair marketplace pricing policy. I am here to take a look and provide support in anyway I can.
So that I may assist you the best with this, can you please provide me with the deactivation performance notification you received regarding this concern. Also, if you have any associated case log ID's in your account, please share those with me so I can learn more about your situation.
Typically, fair marketplace pricing policy violations will be placed individually on your account health page, so you can edit/correct the pricing violation. Violations for inaccurate pricing information can be seen as a violation of the seller code of conduct which is more of an account level concern.
To resolve this type of deactivation, you must provide proof that this type of behavior has never occurred on your account with supporting documentation you listed above. What type of proof do you have that there was not inaccurate pricing or other inaccurate information in your listings? The invoices must be dated in the last 365 days and also must meet our document and sourcing requirements to be considered. Have you checked your invoices against the pages I linked to confirm the match up?
I look forward to getting more details so I can review the specifics of your situation and provide more targeted guidance. The forums community and I are here to support you.
Wishing you the best,
LeviDylan
Would expect this to happen in China or Rusia. Amazon needs to back off some on sellers. Not everyone is a crook. Oh, maybe the delighted Customers might be.
