Today I got notification that my account has been temporarily deactivated. This was caused by the address verification letter. We updated our current address on file per Amazon's request, and Amazon sent me a postcard with a verification code.
Before I got the card (it said it would arrive on the May 10th), Every time I logged into my seller app, it said my account would be deactivated on the 10th if no code was put in. That message made the waiting worrisome.
So on May 8th, I contacted the Account Health Support team and told them I haven't gotten my verification postcard yet but I'm worried that my account will be deactivated on the 10th.
They helped me order a new post card, told me the new card will arrive on the 17th. Ironically, I received my first verification letter in the afternoon on May 8th. But when I put in the code on that letter, it no longer works.
I guess I will have to wait for the new postcard to arrive, but I didn't expect my account to be deactivated by today. If I order a new postcard, I guess Amazon will give me until the new date to verify my account (May 17th).
Is there a way to reinstate my account? I'm still waiting for the new postcard to arrive. And I'm afraid the account deactivation will affect my business badly. I have no idea how long it will take to get my account back to live. I saw someone said they dealt with this thing over a month, that is horrible to think of.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
Hello @Seller_ztuMWM38BhQFH,
Thank you for posting your concerns with the INFORM verification process.

As you had mentioned there was a bit of a concern with the date the account was going to be deactivated and when the post card should have arrived. As they assisted you with the request of a new postcard, the prior code was invalidated for security reasons. This includes if there were any changes to the address or business information.
Since the new postcard is due to be received on the 17th, I recommend waiting for that time. These postcards are received within a week. Here's a section from our FAQ on postcards not arriving:
Most postcards arrive within 5-8 business days. However, verification postcards occasionally get lost. To request a new postcard, click on request a new one link on the bottom of the screen. Note: There is a limit on the number of attempts to request a new postcard. Further if you update your business address before the postcard reaches you, the code will no longer be valid and you will need to request another one.
We do recommend that if you do not receive your postcard on the 17th, that you allow 1-2 business days for carrier delivery or unforeseen delays, if not received by the 19th you will need to verify your business address details are deliverable and request a new postcard.
Typically, if a store is deactivated for INFORM, the only path to reactivation is to ensure all aspects have been confirmed. Since this is a federal policy and requirement, I recommend reviewing our help page for INFORM.
