Received a Section 3 for a Product That I haven't even sold yet

I've been selling on Amazon US Market place for a couple months now. I recently got my account deactivated for an ASIN I simply added to my inventory 24 hours or so ago. I haven't even sold any of it nor have I sent in any inventory to Amazon to sell. I haven't even bought it from the distributor yet since I was just preparing to make a purchase order.

Anyone else faced this?

Many people have faced this. Whether or not they have survived, I can't tell you.

Why would you list something that you don't have in your hand?? What would you have done had you gotten an order in the first day, before you had product to ship?

Note that listing a product indicates an intent to sell; you don't have to sell one to be asked to prove authenticity.

Hello @Seller_WOXyLGL5nMEUV,

Thank you for reaching out on the Forums.

I see that your account has been deactivated for section 3 of the business solutions agreement due to listing products that you have not purchased as of yet.

Typically, this is an authenticity concern for the products that you listed. Did you list products that are well known brands? Do you have a letter of authorization issued from the brand to you, that grants you permission to utilize their intellectual property and sell their products?

@Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw has made an excellent point here. Listing products is seen as intending to sell that item. You may be asked to verify the authenticity of the products you sell at any time. You will be asked to provide invoices for the products in question that meet our document requirements. If you have obtained a letter of authorization, you may submit it with the invoices for review.

I hope you find this information helpful. Once you have reviewed the questions above, please feel free to respond here. The Forums community and I are here to support you.

Wishing you the best,
