Canadian Compliance Testing for USA FBA Inventory WITH SPARSE Canadian Sales-

We got an Email from Amazon Canada requesting compliance testing on something we've been selling for over 20 years. FBA might sell a hand full of this item in Canada in couple months, and it's not really our choice. We're a US company, but FBA will ship to Canada. Question: If we do not get this requested compliance testing done in time for Canada, does this mean our USA FBA inventory will be removed in USA and the listing shut down in USA? It doesn't seem to make sense to have to satisfy Canadian regulations and we don't even have inventory there, and spent $5,000 to enable selling a couple hundred in sales a year there...

Hello @Seller_n1mh65Ij2NT7L,

These compliance requirements are market-specific, so in theory Amazon will typically only restrict your ability to sell that product in Canada. You can exclude an offer to Canada at the store level via the BIL tool by following these steps:

  1. Choose the source store with the offer you’d like to exclude.
  2. Select the target store you’d like to exclude the offer from on the left-side of the page.
  3. Click ‘Edit’ in the ‘Connections settings’ widget.
  4. Enter the SKU or list of SKUs you’d like excluded in the window at the top of the page.
  5. Click ‘Exclude offers’ to complete the process

Please double-check with Amazon Seller Support to confirm this specifically for your case/product by creating a case.

Thank you,

NR_Amazon
