There is a problem where sellers do not have the same customer shipping information if they buy shipping off Amazon vs from Amazon. Specifically, for orders to businesses the seller's "Ship To" screen will often not include the person's name at the business which results in INR claims, or sometimes I just have to cancel.
What is happening ...
Assume Geoff Devos at Amazon buys my product.
On the Order Details page I may see:
Amazon, 2121 7th Ave, Seattle, WA 98121
Good luck to Mr. Devos getting the order!
But, if I buy shipping from Amazon this appears on the purchased shipping label:
Geoff Devos, Amazon, 2121 7th Ave, Seattle, WA 98121
Big difference!
My products are made to order. For $5 stickers I'm obviously not buying package shipping from Amazon starting at $4, and where I use a production partner who does the shipping I just have what is on my Order Details page to provide. So this problem impacts a lot of orders - and - this isn't an issue where I can just buy the postage from Amazon. I can't.
Here are graphics showing an example from today:
The information I have from the order details on where to ship to:
Versus the ADDITIONAL info on the shipping label if postage is purchased from Amazon:
Presumably this is some oversight because otherwise it might otherwise be relevant to the anti-trust matter.
The obvious solution is the Order Details have should have complete shipping information. It should match what is printed on shipping labels when postage is purchased from Amazon.
Thank you for that notification @Seller_Ggt6s7zXEwLbA
It would be helpful if you filed a support case with those specific details on what you're experiencing. It sounds like you're only seeing one 'Name' line when you purchase shipping outside of Amazon, but having a specific example would help me escalate your request and check if there are any steps you can take to correct it.
If you could share that Case ID, I will monitor and escalate the question as needed.
