Read onlyHello all. I am having a ton of adjustment issues. When I contact Amazon they tell me they cant do anything. When I contact the post office they tell me I am not the "PC Postage Entity" owner and they cant help me directly. I have been having this for over 2 years now and I only sell cheap lightweight and small products. I cant understand how the same products with the same weight and same packaging that we always have had are getting "adjustments". But with no one willing to help, we are feeling ripped off completely. I was told this is 2.11 lbs and charge $11.70. We have about 400 others over the past two years. I am sick of it and ready to change things around. I just cannot let these all go. Any advice I would truly appreciate.
Greetings,
When you purchase shipping services, the carrier charges are based on the information you provide for the package. Similarly, for returns, we provide customers with prepaid return shipping labels on your behalf through Amazon Buy Shipping and the carrier charges based on the information provided in the label. Carriers may charge or credit you after the package is shipped in the form of Carrier adjustments. These charges are caused by incorrect label information. These adjustments appear in the payment reports in your seller account, though not necessarily in the same settlement period as the original purchase.
There are three main reasons you may incur a carrier shipping correction charge for seller-fulfilled orders:
1. The dimensions, weight, or both, for the product are incorrect.
2. Your return address is incorrect or invalid. If your return address is undeliverable, the carrier charges an $18 fee for every package that could not be returned. Your return address must be in the same country as the store that you sell in, and must accept return packages.
3. Unqualified item. The carrier determined that a shipping service was purchased for a product that does not qualify for that shipping service.
4. Differences between Amazon Buy Shipping and Carrier Rates. There may be a difference between the amount calculated by Amazon Buy Shipping and the correct carrier charge. The adjusted rate is the accurate rate for the shipment at the time it was purchased, and a corresponding debit or credit will be applied to your account.
5. Manual Audit surcharge. Carriers charge a monthly per-package surcharge that was manually audited either during outbound or return shipping.
You can avoid carrier shipping correction charges by doing the following:
Lastly, if you have further questions on specific carrier adjustments, I encourage you to reach out to Seller Support for further assistance.
