Back in September I had decided I was no longer going to sell on Amazon as of the end of December 2024. In late November I was began receiving notices about trademark on listings. with rapid fire. 95% of the listings had NO inventory or sales in the last 6 months. Thus I had begun selling off inventory I had in stock. Almost daily listings were being removed and I would delete them from my account. Then I received a counterfeit notice and the acct was deactivated. Selling over 5 years, I never had a complaint. I was not selling counterfeit items. All I want to do is go ahead and close out the account. I have tried opening a case and all they do is go on the merry go round about this is the wrong place. I can't add any information as I don't want to appeal. I can't appeal as all my information from the company is out of the timeline. Horrible cycle. Do I have to wait the timeline to get the account closed and the funds sent to me? Asking for recommendations, thanks in advance.

You cannot close a deactivated account. You should fix it, complicated thing since
You can fix your account by providing:
1. A "Letter of Authorization" from the brand allowing you to sell their brand on Amazon.
2. INVOICE (not receipt) from an authorized distributor covering the number of units you listed. An invoice is a document with your name and address, exactly how you registered it in your seller account under "Legal Entity" and "Official Registered Address". And an authorized distributor is a company authorized by the brand owner. If you buy on the WEBSITE of a brand, you get a receipt and not an invoice.
In case you can't provide both, Amazon will not disburse the balance to you.
If your account get reactivated, you have to remove all inventory and 90 days after the last sale you can properly close it.
No, if there is a counterfeit complaint, you MUST resolve that complaint before you can reactivate then close the account, and to receive any funds. If you cannot resolve the complaint, then you cannot close the account (not that it really makes much difference), and you will not receive any of the funds that are currently in your account. The only way to change the current status is to resolve the counterfeit complaint.
