FBA: Buyer Initiates Refund and Returns a Completely Different Used Product

Hi,

I had a buyer initiate a return through FBA and what they returned was a completely different item from what they purchased. They kept my product and accessories, and instead returned a cheap, used, old version of somebody else's product that they most likely purchased a few years ago (still has grime from their skin).

FBA returns processed the refund and marked the product as defective. The thing they returned didn't even fit into my product's packaging and couldn't close. I thought FBA was supposed to review returns.

What can I do about this scam? I cannot file a SAFE-T claim as it was FBA.

You can go through the lovely automated seller help "chat" where they want a bunch of pictures of the bag, item, LPN number, and other information. Then once you have thoroughly invested and wasted enough time they tell you they cannot help you. It is the risks of selling via FBA as you do not even know which customer bought the item and all of it is sent to another country for someone who can only read a script will drag it out then transfer you or just say they cannot help you. "customers are refunded immediately in order to improve buyer satisfaction"
