I have been going back and forth with Seller support concerning an item I have listed under ISBN 0-06-109479X, Title L. A. Times an early printing mass market paperback by Stuart Woods. When I went to delete the item from my Amazon.com inventory listing, up pops a message "You need approval to sell this item"...funny it has been listed on Amazon.com for years and is still out there. Notifying Seller Support of this snafu of a Catch 22, you can not delete until you get approval, and Seller support says I need documentation to support selling the item, hell it is already listed and I can not delete it from my inventory...an Amazon.com programing problem for sure, but seems Seller Support is on a one track mind script and can not think beyond kinder-garden level of thinking! On my thrid go around with Seller Support!!!!!

Absurd.
But on the bright side, you're the most expensive copy of a book that hasn't sold in 8 years; unlikely that you'll ever get an order for it, so even if the listing remains, probably safe to get rid of the book (assuming you still have it).
But crazy that you can't delete your own listing.
Can you even edit the listing? Perhaps setting inventory to 0, or raising the price high enough to get deactivated?
Since my sales on Amazon have fallen from 460 or so a month to less than 20, I no longer have the ability to Talk with anyone at so called Seller's Support as I am no longer a Pro. Thank Goodness!
Your situation is certainly weird. I wish you the Best and Thank You for posting.
Seller support at amazon is the worst in the industry. More likely even the worst in the entire country. You will have to keep on reopening your case until you get someone who knows something and will be able to assist.
The ratio is horrible too, it's probably 1/100. You will get 1 of a hundred that at least is aware of the fact that there is such a thing as a brain. Mostly. you will be getting a low IQ people that just copy and paste the script and mark cases answered.
Post your case ticket # here.
The best of class support in these forums will need it to help you. Good luck!
There is no seller support. They either do not know what they are doing or just do not give a crap. Their big worry is what time they can pick up their paycheck on Friday. I tried calling but I could not get ahold of anyone that spoke English so that was a waste of time. A trillion-dollar $ company with the worst of the worst customer service ever. Customer service is useless and a waste of time. I come to a point where they can keep my goods and money as they need it more than me. The big word here is Karma
Amazon seller support is a joke, and majority of them doesn't know anything or help you resolve the issue. I am not sure if they are base in foreign country.
Hi @Black_River_Used_Boo
Thanks for the post and sorry to hear about your experience.
Can you share the case id that you opened with Seller Support.
Thanks in advance.

It's sad what seller "support" has become. it was bad before, but now it's beyond horrible. no desire to solve any problems, just copy and paste stupid replies!
