Updates to 2025 fees for Buy with Prime, Multi-Channel Fulfillment, Amazon Warehousing and Distribution, and Supply Chain by Amazon Managed Service

We want to thank you for your partnership in what has been an exciting year of innovation in our supply chain services. We have continued to invest in powerful, reliable, and fast services for your warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment needs. These services are designed to support you across your sales channels, and we’re excited to see how you have leveraged them to optimize inventory levels, delight customers with faster delivery, and drive growth at a great value. Key highlights from the year include:

  • Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) continued to expand the product types supported, improve speed and accuracy of replenishing products into Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), and launched Multi-Channel Distribution (MCD) enabling bulk distribution and replenishment to all of your sales channels.
  • Launched a Managed Service for Supply Chain by Amazon that provides an end-to-end, automated solution for supply chain logistics, warehousing, and fulfillment for US sellers, simplifying operations, lowering costs, and increasing sales by getting products from factories to customers more quickly and efficiently.
  • Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) is delivering to customers 40% faster with three-day standard delivery. In addition, MCF fast badges allow you to display real-time delivery estimates on your direct-to-consumer website and in other places where you advertise your products to customers.
  • Buy with Prime launched additional traffic-driving capabilities, including Amazon Demand-Side Platform and Social Ads for Buy with Prime. We also now offer Buy with Prime with virtual bundles, promotions, and collections, providing even more ways for you to acquire new customers and drive additional sales.

As we build on this momentum in 2025, we are adjusting some fees and introducing new opportunities to help you save on your supply chain costs. These changes will support our ongoing investments in these services while maintaining a great value for you. A summary of the changes, along with resources for more information, can be found below:

  • A new AWD Smart Storage option will provide a 10% discount on your AWD storage fees if you maintain sufficient levels of inventory. This discount brings fees down to as low as $0.43 per cubic foot per month. We’ll also separate the AWD processing fee into inbound and outbound processing fees rather than the current approach of charging both together. These changes are effective April 1, 2025, and for details about these changes, go to the AWD fees page.
  • MCD outbound transportation fees will move from a fixed fee to a distance-based fee. This will lower fees for shorter distances and increase fees for longer ones. Inventory replenished into Amazon will not be affected by this change and will continue to be charged fixed transportation fees that are not distance based. These changes are effective April 1, 2025, and for details about these changes, go to the Multi-Channel Distribution fees page.
  • We’re updating the discounts for sellers who choose the Supply Chain by Amazon Managed Service to include 20% off AWD storage fees and 10% off AWD transportation fees from AWD to FBA.The managed option for Supply Chain by Amazon provides a simplified experience where we coordinate your end-to-end supply chain logistics, warehousing, and fulfillment. These changes are effective April 1, 2025, and for more information, go to the Amazon Managed Service page.
  • Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) fees will increase 3.5% on average, which is less than the 5.9% average increase announced by some other carriers. For units with shipping weights of 1 lb or less, fees will remain unchanged for standard delivery speed. For units that exceed 1 lb, the fee increase will vary depending on the unit size and weight. These changes are effective January 15, 2025, and for details about these changes, go to the Fulfillment fees for MCF page.
  • For Buy with Prime orders, there will be no increase to the Prime service fee, and fulfillment fees for some large standard-size units will decrease. We'll continue to offer 1- to 2-day delivery at rates that are comparable to the 3- to 5-day standard delivery rates that other carriers offer. These changes are effective January 15, 2025, and for details about these changes, go to the Buy with Prime pricing page.

We’re excited to continue supporting your growth across your supply chain and all of your sales channels by partnering together to ensure you have a robust, reliable, and fast set of supply chain services at a great value. We look forward to even more seller success in the year ahead.

Hello,

Amazon has historically raised FBA fees in Q4 and reduced them back to normal levels in the next quarter. With this announcement you said that FBA fees will in large part be un-impacted in 2025, however our current fees are still heightened relative to what we were paying back in September.

Could you clarify if we will see a decrease in our FBA fees before they go (Hopefully) untouched for the next year?
