Hi everyone,
I’m posting here because I’ve exhausted all my options and I want other people to hear my story. I want this to serve as a notice for those who read other suspension forum posts and think, " that can't happen to me because I do everything by the book and have proper supply chain".
IT CAN AND WILL!
My selling account was deactivated on March 5, 2025, over a single ASIN listing, a piercing aftercare spray, which Amazon alleged was causing “inauthentic” complaints (Section 3 Suspension). I was told that my funds would be withheld and my FBA inventory would not be eligible for removal.
However, I have never received a single customer complaint related to authenticity or any complaint at all for this product. The product has a return rate of just 0.45% (only 14 returns out of over 3,000 units sold). Despite this and the fact that I provided **complete documentation, far beyond what Amazon originally asked for, my appeals keep getting rejected with no real explanation.
Despite the lack of any real issue, I immediately complied with Amazon’s request and began gathering documentation.
Amazon asked for invoices dated within 365 days and prior to 03/05/2025. I provided that, but I also went above and beyond, knowing how often these appeals are denied even when documentation is submitted.
Here is what I submitted:
1) Invoices from my supplier (who is reputable and a known wholesaler!)
2) Invoices from my supplier’s supplier
3) The manufacturer’s invoice to the supplier’s supplier (to show that my product is in fact legitimate and literally ORIGINATES from the Brand themselves!)
4) Certificates of Good Standing from the California Secretary of State and Valid seller’s permits for both companies in the supply chain (both my supplier and my supplier's supplier)
5) Verification links from the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration to confirm permit status
This is a fully documented, legitimate supply chain that clearly shows the product came from the manufacturer and flowed through authorized and legal channels to me.
Despite that, every appeal has been denied with the same message: “We could not verify the transaction with your supplier.”
This is false. I confirmed directly with my supplier that no one from Amazon has ever contacted them about my case. They have received no email, no call, no communication of any kind. Amazon continues to claim they "couldn't verify" something they haven't even attempted to verify.
I’m not the only one. I’ve been watching this forum and others and it’s clear this is a common pattern. Amazon suspends an account with vague claims, requests documentation, then moves the goalposts or simply ignores what’s submitted. Sellers are told to provide more and more documentation, often going two or three layers deep into the supply chain. That’s not realistic, and it’s not fair. I knew that Amazon does this since I watch the forum and I only sell products that I can trace all the way back to the brand. I did everything right in this case. I should not be punished for that.
This situation is financially and emotionally exhausting. I have:
Inventory that I can't access or remove
Funds that are being withheld
No clear process for resolution
A business reputation that’s being damaged without cause

If anyone here has gone through something similar and has advice, please share. If someone from Amazon is reviewing these posts, I’m asking for help. I’ve done everything right and just want a fair process.
I don't even know for sure, but the only thing that saved one of our products was an LOA. I gave them that with the invoices and they reactivated everything.
We faced a similar issue in January and it took about 6 weeks to resolve. We hired a third party company to represent us and they got our invoices approved and our account reinstated.
Amazon need to be able to Authenticate products if customer makes such claims. Amazon needs to stop trying hurt small businesses and get things right.
Amazon sent me a letter stating that I can't sell Nike unless I show them a LOA because of inauthentic concerns and all of the anime products have been authentic. As soon as I sent a shipment of these Nike shoes I received that letter and I'm sure it was because of that one particular item.
well, they accused me selling counterfeit products that are not even mine. I didn’t purchase them or list them but they deactivated my account and hold my own brand inventory as hostage so I have to keep paying storage fee. I’m so done with Amazon. Ever since I started Amazon, it has been a hell of a journey!
I recently went through a similar authenticity claim with Amazon. It is very time-consuming and frustrating since Amazon refuses to be specific about what information it still needs. I strongly suspect that they reject documents provided on principle. Only appeal and reappeal work. I also approached Amazon with a suggestion i.e once a product has gone through the authenticity appeals process and has been approved to be sold again, the product should get an "authentication vacation/grace period " (for lack of a better word) where complaints against the product will not be accepted. The buyer or complainer will be assured that the product has passed its recent authentication audit (and a refund if they wish) and is still good for x months. I honestly hope that Amazon takes this suggestion seriously. It is the easiest thing to get rid of competition by lodging fake "buyer " complaints all the time. There is no risk or cost involved in doing that. This is an issue that must be addressed for once and all.
I too got deactivated in March for a book and a dvd. I’ve been selling on Amazon for 7 years. Never had a complaint and all of a sudden this happens. They didn’t even explain why they believe it’s fake or bootleg. Then I send documents, have a video verification call and explain everything on call and even send email explaining everything and I keep getting rejected and there just keep asking for the same documents. I also wish I could talk to someone in America because they really have no clue what’s going on from wherever they’re call center is. They are clearly reading off a script and it’s frustrating
Same thing happened to me this is why I think selling on AMAZON is a joke. I was a beginner seller, did not even give me a chance or warning. Why do they even allow to post the product if they will suspend seller's account after then now they are holding $300 of my money (without planning to return it to me and thats their final decision) I know its not much but still if they are doing this to their hundreds of seller it means AMAZON is also getting free MONEY from all of us, no justice plus they want you to HIRE "AMAZON" Lawyer to help you reactivate you account. That's a BIG BS in my opinion!
I believe that Amazon should require you to submit the same documents upfront, before selling a particular brand, that they would require you to submit to defend it when asked. This takes away any confusion up front and seems the fairest business practice to implement with sellers. An easy fix I think. The standard to start selling should be the same to continue selling.
This is EXACTLY what I was thinking!!!! ONLY send them what they ask for!!!!
