Is everyone else seeing a increase in Amazon Buy Shipping force UPS ground and USPS Priority on small / light orders, even though is basing estimate on USPS Ground Advantage? I'm seeing about 40% of my order getting this issue, having to buy shipping on 3rd party shipping platform. This started this weekend 11/4/23
My shipping settings are at 5-10 days. Has not changed, I always ship same day on order before 2pm, I just like to give my delivery window as many days as possible because of the pitfalls of USPS.
yes, having same problem. a 4 oz package is showing me to ship priority. can not do that. my price is not letting me
Yes, we have the same issue with Amazon Buy Shipping only offering Priority Mail, but it is only to states next to us. We are being offered Ground Advantage for the rest of the US. Additionally, they are offering regional boxes, which were discontinued in January of 2023.
Seeing the same here, Never had many issues with my shipping template and now its trying to force me to go priority on orders that were placed even this morning...
Yes and those i have to get the label elsewhere. It happened a lot of earlier in the year and I don't know why
This is Amazon's way of again ripping off sellers. We are forced to buy our postage elsewhere, and then lose Amazon's so-called protection against INR claims. Scammers, who populate Amazon like locusts, will claim they didn't get their item, tracking shows delivered, Amazon says you didn't buy postage from them (naturally, since they made it impossible for you to do so), and so they refund the buyer from YOUR account, keep their cut, and give the buyer a free item. I just wonder how many millions Amazon has pocketed from this scheme.
@KJ_Amazon can you take a look into this? It looks like the Buy Shipping algorithm is having issues again.
I have my handling time set at 2 days and my transit time set at 2-4 days, which gives me 6 days to deliver an order. That should be long enough for USPS Ground Advantage to deliver, but it is saying that it won't on orders that are going across the country. This is on orders under a pound, so it isn't related to the other known issue of it treating Ground Advantage (1-70lbs) as slower.

We having same issue. amazon should give back those 2 days handling time option back.
Same here. The Seller "Support" person told us that they make an estimate of whether the item will arrive within the allotted shipping time, and if not, they only offer more expensive options. (For example, someone purchased a $24 item with Free Economy Shipping and Amazon gave me the choice of spending $35 and up to ship it 2nd day air)
The thing is that we've been shipping Ground Advantage all along and have a 100% on time delivery record for the past 60 days. So, their explanations are, as usual, nonsensical.
My guess is they rolled out a new algorith, it's flawed, but it's going to cost a bunch of money and time to fix it, so they just give us a bunch of garbage explanations rather than admit they made a mistake.
And, as with so many other Amazon mistakes, the Seller takes the hit and they go laughing all the way to the bank because they don't have to pay for INS orders.
Love this company!
yup, this is irritating, their artificial intelligence is too . Supposed ground advantage will make the shipment late is their reason,.. I always ship on time and ground advantage always arrives before the mentioned delivery date advertised to the customer!
I had to go to usps to print labels, thank godGod they updated their system to print 4x6 instead of just paper..
up until 3 months ago it was only paper printouts but usps upgraded their online system to handle 4x6 sticky labels..
i do not like copy / pasting addresses... i would rather click print shipping!
especially when I have an order going to Puerto rico, if i mistype the address because I do not know their address format... I lose out on shipping and the item and the customer will leave a negative feedback!
FIX THIS AMAZON... UGH

You have to turn off Amazon's shipping guaranty time. Go into your shipping settings. By turning off Amazon's new automated shipping setting you will then have your own manual setting back and not get these ridiculous costly shipping options when the customer has paid for standard shipping. It drove me nuts over the weekend until I figured it out.
