Read onlyI am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Recently, I noticed a couple of my orders had not been scanned at usps. SSo I am of course resenting the order. From now on I will make sure they scan them infront of me. Just curious if anyone else has experienceexperienced this and what happened? Did they ever send back the package to you? Was it eventually scanned in?
Hi @Seller_flXNiJRw0gh3z,
Dominic from Amazon here, happy to help. Can you please provide me with any case ID's you have submitted for this?
Best,
Dominic
The best thing to do is hand deliver them to a postal worker at the post office, watch them scan it and ask for a paper or email receipt so that you have record that the post office has received your order. It is the best way to protect yourself. Also make sure you are using Amazon buy shipping.
DON'T resend the packages. Just wait. Usually the packages show up. Overall USPS has a good delivery %. IF a customer complains about INR, then you can deal with it. No need to spend time and money right now.
This used to happen ALL the time. I had to stop dropping off USPS packages at UPS because the driver would only scan them sometimes.
You can Self-Scan them at a kiosk at USPS when you drop them off.
Many of the post office have stopped scanning the packages and putting them on a truck to get scanned at the next location. So we now make USPS scan ever package we deliver. At first it was an issue and some of the employees got angry but I told them I pay for a service and you are not providing it. I told them it their job to scan the packages when I deliver it to them and they stopped complaining and just do the job now
We had this issue several times. After complaining to the post office it never happened again.
Yeah, it happens and it will eventually get scanned at a distribution center.
My mail person AND the delivering carrier BOTH failed to scan a $500 order.
The package showed movement all along the route....just not at the beginning, nor end.
Ground Advantage insurance was paid, $100 plus the shipping paid. They do the same as Amazon, reject first, then approve upon push-back.
in some large cities they won't scan them when you drop them off. All our local POs have a bin for you to dump them in and won't do anything more than put them there if you stand in line.
However, we use carrier pickup daily and our carrier scans them all per the supervisor's instructions. You can always talk to you carrier and/or postmaster to make sure it gets done
