Congrats for realizing that it's not as easy as the YouTube and TikTok gurus make it out to be; the people who just jump in usually end up getting suspended.
I suggest spending a couple of weeks reading the forums, and make sure that you go through Seller U. Pay special attention to anything regarding sourcing protocols, or threads about "Deactivated" or "Section 3".
Amazon is a tricky place; unlike most other online marketplaces, it's really aimed more at businesses than at individuals (unlike in the past). Certainly individuals and small businesses can do well here, but if you're new to online selling, then I would suggest getting your feet wet at a more forgiving site such as eBay.
Be sure to ask any questions that come up once you know enough to ask specific ones; don't assume that you'll figure it out. Amazon is not a "learn as you go" place, and one seemingly small mistake can cost you your account, so take it slow and ask lots of questions.
And welcome aboard!

the most important - unknown to newbies - in short:
- no, you can't go in stores or buy on websites and resell on Amazon
- you need an INVOICE, not a receipt
- you need a "Letter of Authorization" from the brand owner to sell brands
- AND: "approved" by Amazon does NOT mean that you are allowed to sell it on Amazon.... this is the biggest trap. If you list nontheless such a product, Amazon will confiscate your products and your money and suspend your seller account.
For selling on Amazon the truth is: "Knowledge is power and success". So, acquire knowledge BEFORE doing anythig! Good luck!
dont start with FBA once you do get approved...start self-fulfilling first.
Don't ever depend on this place for your income. SH.. happens here even if you did nothing wrong. Take a look at all the tabletop fire pit sellers getting their businesses here plundered by a product recall...
