We use a non-partnered shipper and we pay the extra Inbound Placement Fee to get closer to the West Coast, so Amazon of course chooses the warehouses for us. to ship to.
Our shipper has been consistently asking for an appointment date for well over two weeks now for ABQ2 and PSC2. Amazon is refusing to give our shipper a delivery date stating they are full. He has tried multiple times to get an appointment and gets the same answer. I put in a case to see if we could divert them to another warehouse that is not full and was told that since we used a Non-Partnered shipper that they could not help us. If Amazon is choosing the warehouses for us, then how are they allowed to REFUSE to give us an appointment date, or at least let us divert it to another warehouse that is not full. And on top of that we are now past our 2 week delivery window because Amazon has refused to give us a delivery date for over 2 weeks now. Another shipper said they were allowing others to reroute to other warehouses but I CANNOT get anyone to HELP no matter what I do or say in any case. Any suggestions?

I am in the same situation and this is theft by Amazon.
Amazon needs to take the L and re-route the shipments. My shipment is in Purgatory for 7 weeks now. No signs of life at all.
Whoever at Amazon did this needs to be tarred and feathered. Then fired.
I used a partnered carrier and tried getting seller support to re-route but the said they don't have that ability. So many people are in the same boat I don't know why they cant just fix this.
If you look up "ABQ2 Amazon warehouse" on google and read the reviews truckers are waiting 24+ hours to get unloaded.
But But But all those placement and low inventory fees to make things more efficient right?? Bull, those fees are for profit and shareholder value purposes only. Things have gotten worse at the FCs since the fees were implemented.
Had a shipment WITH a partnered carrier refused for more than five weeks. Then the system kept trying to route new shipments to the same warehouse. So, whomever is in charge of that system has some real flaws to fix. If a site is full, why on earth would new shipments get routed there? The amount of space is fixed and finite. Granted, staffing may fluctuate, but many businesses manage to account for that.
If it makes you feel any better, I had one of my first few shipments sent to the west coast. Was delivered on the September 12th and the moment it was eligible for investigation they went straight from delivered to closed. So now they get to "investigate" two missing boxes I guess, not sure how one does that. Had inventory that retailed/buy boxed for over $3500 in them. Can't wait for Amazon to shrug their shoulders and/or give me pennies on the dollar.
Same here, non-partnered shipper, pay the extra Inbound Placement Fee, Refused Appointment for 2 weeks.
And mine is a multi-destination shipment, it must be delivered before Oct-20, otherwise Deleted and abandoned shipments fee occur.
But my carrier cannot get an appointment date until Nov.
Stay away from RDU4 (Fayetteville NC) too. They had similar problems even before those Hurricanes hit them. I recently had products delivered to Lansing MI. The check-in was lightning fast but now they can't get it distributed around the country. It stays in reserved status forever. My product is on the Amazon platform and can be purchased but with a delivery date 2-3 weeks out, so very few sales. I also get the impression that after Amazon started this new system where one can choose (for a fee) more or less where the product should go, they had enormous problems. This is not the Amazon I got to know over the years where their logistics were admirable. This is chaos.
Greetings,
Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. Currently, there is high demand by sellers to send their inventory to our West Coast facilities and through palletized freight ship method. This is leading to longer receive times impacting the West region.
If you are shipping your inventory with a third-party carrier and experiencing longer receive times at the desired inbound location, we highly recommend reaching out to your carrier to get a new appointment through Carrier Central.
