8007 error code while creating variation

This is a relatively new issue. As a user very familiar with variation procedures, I need to combine my products into a group but encountered error code 8007, which states:

“We’re unable to find the Parent SKU: [list1-888] in your inventory. This can happen when there is a problem with the parent-child data in your inventory file. For troubleshooting help, see https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/202135320”

This seems very strange. I am trying to create a new PSEUDO ASIN that does not yet exist, but the dashboard continues to give me a hard time. I’d like to know if any of you have experienced a similar situation and resolved it successfully.

Thank you.

Did you get a chance to check our How to solve and prevent Error 8007 help page?

To resolve this error using tab-delimited product templates, make sure you carry out the following steps:

  • Ensure you provide the correct SKU in the parent SKU column of your product template.
  • Locate the line for your parent SKU and ensure it contains the value "parent" in the parentage column and the ‘parent SKU’ column is left blank.
  • Ensure that the parent SKU contains the valid variation theme and it is consistent with the entire variation family.
  • Check previous error reports for errors relating to the parent SKU and correct any errors as necessary.
  • Resubmit your product template.

If you are still encountering issues after taking these steps, please create a seller support case. If you have already done this but still having issues, please let me know the case ID and I will investigate if I can provide additional insights.
