Read onlyWe are the publisher of a card game with ASIN B0CXRVBT9Z and B0CXS1171H. Usually we have the featured offer unless someone prices under us, but now we've lost the featured offer even though in one case there's literally no one else selling it, so the listing just says "No featured offers available" with no add to cart button visible. Sales have dropped massively :(
The Amazon dashboard doesn't give us any helpful info on why this has happened, can anyone help please? Our account health status is "Healthy".
It's because Amazon has found a cheaper competitive price elsewhere on a different site/marketplace, and the Amazon price is above the competitive price.
That's the point, they want you to lower the price so that Amazon's customers don't need to go elsewhere.
It always amazes me that evidently so many Amazon shoppers - after all these years - either don't see, can't find, or are unable to work the "See All Buying Options" button. It seems that there are customers who actually do not know that an item may still be available even without an "Add to Cart" button.
How many sales has that cost Amazon and 3P sellers over time? Amazon has helped raise a generation of non-functioning misfits.
And the explanation Amazon offers at the top of the page for the "no featured offers available" situation is pure bunkum. As is so much of what Amazon says.
I also have to respectfully disagree with @Seller_7LrAV0m5llaI7 that the reason for this is pricing. To me, it's just more evidence of Amazon's low-quality programming, general inconsistencies, and silo management. I see that at the second ASIN, your competitor has the Buy Box at $23.50, while you settle for "second place" at $16.10.
So much for Amazon wanting to focus on the low price.
Have you gone to your active listing and put in different zip codes for delivery to see how many days they are adding to the estimated delivery date that buyers see? I don't know if you are FBM but they have been padding the heck out of a lot of FBM sellers' 'promise extentions' the last few days...to the extent of about a week longer than what our dashboard shows....and they're doing this regardless of how good your shipping metrics are.
Don't know if that's why you're having this issue but worth checking into, this only seems to target certain FBM sellers for an unknown reason. If you're FBA then never mind, this only seems to target FBM sellers.
Hello @Seller_D6Cp8BQEJzuoh,
To give customers the best possible shopping experience, sellers must meet performance-based requirements to be eligible to compete for Featured Offer placement. This means that not all sellers may be eligible for the Featured Offer.
Please note that Amazon does not guarantee Featured Offer selection for any seller and I won't be able to provide any details on how this selection is determined beyond the information provided in the Become the Featured Offer help page.
Regards,
- Manny
