Read onlyHello Everyone,
I've tried to find something on the topic but have yet to find it. What is Amazon's take on orders delivered in perfect condition (UPS took a picture) but damaged later because they were left sitting on the porch?
The customer's message was: "Delivered several days too early, eaten by squirrels. Please send replacement. Thank you."
Now, if it were me, I would take full responsibility. It's really no one's fault—the seller or the carrier. But I wonder what is Amazon's take on similar issues.
Thank you!
Everything is the seller's fault here. (Never the squirrels'.)
I've had packages left on my front step for hours, with squirrels chattering away in the trees right overhead. Nobody ate nuthin'.
Unless this was a delivery of nuts or some such, I'd say the squirrels are innocent until proven guilty.
As would any "normal," non-Amazon-buying person.
Hi @Seller_n2xY8k56rOQQo,
Thank you for reaching out about this. Oh no, I definitely don't see this situation very often, sorry to hear that this happened!
Now, I'm just coming across this thread and wanted to check in, has there been any updates to this order?
Please note that to protect you from bad returns, you’ll be able to file for reimbursements in cases where the condition of the original product is used or damaged by the buyer, or materially different from what was sent to the buyer. To learn more, go to the reimbursement policy for prepaid return labels in the seller-fulfilled network. Additionally, if the buyer fails to return the original item within 30 days of the replacement order being shipped, you may be eligible for an automatic reimbursement.
If you haven't done so already, I would recommend reading through this resource for more information and guidelines on replacements for seller-fulfilled returns.
Please let me know if this helps! And of course, if you have any additional questions.
All the best,
Jameson
