I am new to selling on amazon and when i get a reply from amazon they reply to me as if I know what I'm doing and not really answer my question and you can't reply to them
Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,
We understand your listing for ASIN B0CY2VJ59C is active but being sold by someone else.
Please be informed that the reason behind your concern is you are not winning Buy Box eligibility. Your offer is currently showing under ' Other sellers on Amazon' section on detail page.
Your offers are eligible for the Featured Offer if you have a Professional selling account. Check your current account type if you’re not sure and upgrade if required. To ensure that customers have a great shopping experience and to guard against abuse, we remove eligibility based on account performance and other risk factors.
for clarification.
So what is happening is when I go into my seller account I had sold lets say 30 items over the past few months then. nothing so I go into my account and click on the item in my inventory and when it goes to amazon it shows it as being sold by someone else. I dont' understand any help.
this was amazon response.
I feel like this is one of the clearest responses from Amazon.
You aren't seeing your listing because another person has the buy box.
Your listing is sitting under the "Other sellers" drop down instead.
Which is why you aren't seeing sales.
Typically, the person with the buy box gets the majority of sales and it will rotate based on price/ rating of seller/ etc.
Basically what that means is someone else's listing shows when you first click the product, but if you click "other sellers on amazon" your listing will be under there because the other person either has buy box, has paid for advertising, or their account has a higher standing than yours. It doesn't necessarily mean they hijacked your listing, but sometimes it does.
A couple of things to keep in mind.
First of all, a catalog page is often not an exclusive offer; any authorized seller can list on that page. Unless you have exclusive authorization, there is always the possibility of others selling the same item.
The other two things working against you:
You are a new seller. Until Amazon knows that you are a dependable reputable seller, they are not going to award you the BB; they want to KNOW that you will "delight" the customer.
Next, the offer I see in the BB is FBA, meaning that Amazon ships it. Your offer is FBM. Even when the FBA price is higher, it will generally (but not always) win the BB.
Finally, are you BB eligible? Note the comments from Amazon; you must be on the pro plan to win the BB. You can check in your Manage Inventory to see if the offers are eligible.
There's nothing to fix. This is the way Amazon works.
And as pointed out elsewhere, is this the EXACT brand that you are selling? If this is generic, then you need to be on either a generic or a PL listing with your own brand.
If your item matches this EXACTLY (meaning that it is, among other things, the same brand name), then it would be a violation to create a duplicate listing. However, as stated above, if you are sourcing unbranded/generic items, then you need to list under Generic or your own Private Label brand name (something for which I can not advise you).
