CX return reason - Did not approve purchase
Question for AMZ forum mods -
Why are sellers responsible for outbound and return shipping charges for the return reason "Did not approve purchase?"
I have asked seller support on multiple occasions, but always get conflicting answers. Also, SAFE-T claim staff give conflicting results as well.
Can I get some clarity on the matter?

Amazon considers that a seller faulted return reason because they don't want to make the buyer pay for something they claim they didn't approve, but they don't want to pay for it, either, so they force the seller to take the loss.

simple answer: buyer changed mind and you get to pay for the out and back - you need to build the returns cost average into all your items.

That is your fault (says Amazon), we recommend raising your prices for everyone to make up for these types of issues.

or even better yet when they say didnt approve purchase and then buyer comment is wrong item or don't like the color.

Hey @Seller_qbXUWwyag0ELm,
Appreciate you taking the time to post here at the Seller Forums.
When you have a chance, please share the SAFE T Claim ID associated with this order. I can take a look and determine what options you might have to proceed.
Thanks,
Joey
