Hey I was wondering if anyone is able to make sales for a new product with over 10 reviews without having to use ppc. I don’t know why I am only able to make sales off ppc and not with it being normally listed.
All of our sales are non PPC. However, our products are branded and well known outside of AMZ. Branding and competition are big factors in where you rank on the search results.
When is the last time you have updated your SEO?
Hi @Seller_BTYikRBAWPyYU,
I understand the challenge with getting non-PPC sales for a new product. Looking at your situation alongside @Seller_iobipI6xASRkh's comment about brand recognition, I think there are a few key factors at play:
1.) Amazon's search ranking algorithm heavily favors products with strong sales history. According to the 'Start selling: Advertise' help page, "better-selling products tend to list towards the beginning of the search results." PPC helps build this initial history.
2.) Competition level matters tremendously. If you're in a highly saturated category (like USB cables with thousands of competitors), organic visibility is much harder to achieve compared to niche products.
3.) There are typically two scenarios where products can sell organically without PPC:
While building up your organic presence, you might consider running promotions as an alternative to PPC. The advantage of promotions is their financial predictability - you know exactly how much each discount will cost you, unlike PPC where click costs and conversion rates can fluctuate. This makes promotions easier to budget for while still driving initial sales momentum.
Hope this helps.
Michael
