Deactivated for Over a Year: No Proceeds, Stranded Inventory, & Random Charges

Hello everyone,

I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My Amazon Seller account was deactivated over a year ago(customer support couldn't even explain reason why it was deactivated) after I submitted all my supplier documents - Amazon still claimed there was “not enough information.” Despite multiple attempts, they refuse to reactivate my account, and now Support is ignoring my messages.

Here’s my situation in a nutshell:

  • No Money Received - I sold products in early 2024 but never actually received any funds. My balance was wiped to zero with random charges after the account was deactivated.
  • Stranded Inventory - Somehow a few units still remain in FBA, but because my account is deactivated, I can’t create removal orders to get rid of them.
  • Ongoing Charges - Even though I’m not selling, Amazon keeps charging my credit card with unexplained fees which are marked as "Other" in transactions.
  • Efforts to Resolve - I’ve contacted Seller Support many times. Every request to reactivate (so I can remove inventory and close the account) has been ignored or denied.

At this point, I don't have any active listings and I just want to stop the random charges and close out my account entirely.

I’ve read posts from other sellers with the same problem—stranded inventory, random charges, and no cooperation from Amazon. If anyone has successfully navigated this, how did you do it?

I’m also thinking about filing complaints with my State Attorney General, FTC, and BBB because this seems like a consumer protection issue. Has anyone gone that route?

Amazon is by far the worst place to do business in my experience, with non-existent customer support and complete indifference to sellers.

Thank you in advance for any advice or tips you can offer!
