Read onlyToday we had a SAFE-T claim denied by Amazon. A buyer ordered a fairly rare piano book from us and requested a return claiming "wrong item was sent" even though we did in fact send the correct item; it is possible they mistakenly thought they were ordering a music CD instead. The item was returned to us but damaged and unsellable.. We filed a SAFE-T claim under "Returned item not in original condition", but it was denied by Amazon with the following wording:
"You are not eligible for a reimbursement because a refund was issued to the buyer in accordance to the restocking fee policy.
There is no reimbursement due on this order."
Well, obviously a refund was issued, that's why we are filing the claim in the first place! But does this wording indicate that the claim is denied becuase the buyer is claiming that the wrong item was sent initially? Or is there some other reason that I'm not understanding here? Any hope of rectifying the situation on appeal? Thanks in advance for any helpful tips.

Hi @Seller_X2kz7PeAVCwqc,
Thank you for reaching out about this and for your patience here. I'm sorry to hear that this happened!
When you have a moment, can you please send me your SAFE-T claim ID and your case IDs for this situation? I'd be happy to take a further look into your claim to see how I can best assist further!
Thanks again,
Jameson
