Read onlyHello, I was looking through my seller metrics and saw that I have a 0% VTR (0/3) even though all my orders have valid tracking numbers. I am a dropshipper so I upload tracking numbers provided by my supplier. I just want to know why the VTR is 0 even though when I checked the tracking numbers were updated before delivery and were all correct.
" I am a dropshipper so I upload tracking numbers provided by my supplier."
Just a couple things since you appear to be brand new.
First, are you following ALL the rules set by Amazon for dropshipping? That includes entering the tracking numbers in a timely fashion -- not a couple days late!
Then, the meat and potatoes part --
Do you have written authorization (an LOA) from the BRANDS that you are dropshipping to sell on Amazon?
And, have you verified that the dropshipper is an AUTHORIZED wholesale distributor of those brands?
If the answer to the last two parts is NO, then just start preparing your "please help with my Section 3 suspension" letter now. It will save time later when it happens.
Greetings @Seller_CMZjVd6DStjf0,
Thank you for utilizing the seller forums!
I understand you have questions regarding your valid tracking rate.
Per this policy, sellers must ensure the valid tracking information is provided to the customer at the time the package is shipped. VTR is the percentage of total packages with valid tracking ID for which Amazon receives a scan event from the carrier. The VTR calculation is based on the country of origin of a package. To calculate VTR, we take the number of packages you ship with a valid tracking ID and divide it by the total number of packages you have shipped and confirmed over a 30-day period.
If you are not providing tracking information until after a scan event, this can be cause for concern.
Is there any possible way your supplier can provide you with this information in a much more efficient way? As long as you are operating within the drop shipping policy parameters, there should be a way for you to also be within compliance of the valid tracking rate policy.
Feel free to utilize the valid tracking rate FAQ too, and do not hesitate to ask questions here. The community and I are here to support you.
All the best,
Stevie.
I had same problem but the packages are not being SCANNED. Totally different thing!
I have went over & over about this with Support and they are right. My packages were not being scanned and that is your VTR, and the Post Master told me that when the USPS gets really busy the carriers do not scan packages. So I went online and told them either scan or I do not get paid. Well what good that did, they are scanning some I think Now but they have to be scanned & only the USPS can do that.
The Post Office can explain but Support is right & the USPS should Do their Job & Scan!
Sometimes you can get reimbursed for shipping charges, sometimes but you need to check out the USPS online and it answers some questions.
