UPS claims
I shipped a package using UPS. The customer received the package damage and received the refund. I filed claim with UPS and it was paid to Amazon instead of me when I am the shipper and filed the claim. It’s FBM, UPS will not give me the cheque number or any other information. Even with damaged and lost packages using UPS ground saver or USPS ground saver, I am unable to even file a claim with either of the carriers because two carries shipped it. On Amazon it says insured by UPS but using the Tracking number it shows unable to file claim.

You used buy shipping to ship it? Then yes, Amazon used their account to produce the label for you. This issue has been all over the forums for years.

When you filed the claim with UPS, did you check the box that says, "Did you ship this package through a third-party eCommerce site?" I believe when you check that box, that UPS sends you the check directly. I hope this is the case, anyway, as I also just filed a claim for a lost package a few days ago and checked this box since it was a label created through Veeqo.

Just another reason why I do NOT use Amazon buy shipping.
In addition, for UPS in particular my rates on Stamps/Endicia/Dazzle are generally several dollars cheaper than what Amazon offers.
As to the 'seller protection' that you get from Amazon, how well did that work for this one?

Amazon will pay out the customer via an A to Z Claim. I have a template I send when a customer messages me. You do have to give a good faith try to call UPS and try to find a package, but after 2 business day's I route them to the A to Z. Once in a while I get Amazon saying I'm liable and appeal it and usually get it reversed by stating the policy.
