Multiple listings for PANTS flagged as pesticides

Not sure what Amazon (or AI?) changed, but all of a sudden I have ski pants being flagged as pesticides. Nothing I can find in the item description should have triggered anyone/anything.

I'm just glad these are out-of-season listings that aren't active right now, but they did threaten to deactivate my account if the weren't all removed immediately. SIGH

Hey @Seller_hhxXxu2gOFfHz, I'm sorry to hear you've been dealing with this!

There is a broad range of products that the EPA identifies as pesticides due to the specific terms used in describing the products. Here are a few examples of such claims:

  • A door knob that claims to resist bacteria
  • Socks or shoes that claim antimicrobial properties
  • A boat or automobile cover that claims to prevent mildew
  • A mattress that claims to be antibacterial
  • A dehumidifier that claims to mechanically prevent mold
  • A pillow case that claims to be resistant to dust mites
  • A "mildew-resistant" shower curtain

That being said, if you believe there was a mistake, open a case with Seller Support to investigate. If you have done so already, I will take that case ID to look deeper.
