I have this Tax Verification (In Progress) warning since more than 2 weeks ago, it still doesn't go away. I did my verification last year like everyone else.
Immediately after I saw the message, I went through the verification process using same information last year on iOS Amazon seller app, because I couldn't find a link on the desktop.
About 4 days ago, I managed to find the link on desktop by reading the forum threads, it is hidden under Account Info - Tax Information. So I went through the process again as I realised that address associated with Tax ID wasn't up to date even I already updated my Address verification.
I also found that the desktop verification has different interface that the desktop doesn't ask me to upload the supporting document, and the iOS app doesn't ask me to update address.
The problem in the entire process is there is no communication such as emails about what has went wrong and how to fix them, and I really don't know what to do next.
