Incorrect Shipping Label Adjustments, UPS literally entered the same exact weight and dimensions as what is on the labels I bought through Amazon.

by Seller_KTUHr1dXchyI5

Recieved over 10 different shipping adjustments today and in the past week, the carrier puts in the same exact weight and dimensions as I put in when buying the label. I am getting double charged for the same label and UPS is wrongfully charging me. Their adjustments are the same dimensions and weight as I enter. They are stealing money from me at this point, the products are accurately measured and the adjustments are the same as to what is on the label. There should be no adjustment needed because what they submit is not different than my packages measurements.

Any Amazon mods or anyone know how to help dispute this?

for the amazon mods, the order ID's are

What type of packaging are you using? Standard boxes or something else? UPS will do adjustments sometimes that aren't due to the weight or dimensions being off, so just trying to help you figure out what may be the cause.

UPS

well, there's your problem right there. UPS is known for doing the adjustments on here.

you either need to stop using UPS or get your own UPS account and link it to your amazon selling account so that YOU can directly talk with UPS to fix their problems but still have INR protection. I refuse to use UPS for this reason. requires lots of time to fix the amazon-UPS issues.

I ship usps advantage ground even if i have to pay few more dollars. Ups does it all the time, and nothing can be done.

Unfortunately, this issue is likely not going to get resolved. There was a point where I was blaming buying postage through Amazon. After some serious examination and experiments, UPS is most definitely the problem--Fedex to a much lesser degree. Giving UPS the mechanism to add charges buried in your transactions statement has turned out to be a goldmine for them.

My issue mostly has to do with 12x12x12 boxes. Of course, there is a surcharge on boxes exceeding 1728 inches (12x12x12) to the tune of 15$ per. They nailed me for thousands of dollars before I caught on, calling these boxes 12x12x13.

We ship out 300-400 packages per week, and by switching from 90% UPS/10% USPS to 98% USPS Ground Advantage/2%UPS, we turned a serious cash hemorrhage into a zero % problem.

I hope that UPS enjoyed the thousands they fleeced.

Hello @Seller_KTUHr1dXchyI5. Thank you for raising that issue and for sharing those Order IDs. It would also be helpful if you could share a Case ID if you have escalated that issue with seller support.

I understand that for some of those orders an adjustment charge was applied despite the carrier-audited information matching the customer-entered information.

In some cases, Seller Central is not displaying updated carrier-audited information. We are investigating the issue and apologize for the confusion.

I ship roughly 500 orders a month on amazon and I have to build into my selling price 200-400 dollars in USPS adjustments that are incorrect and theft. Im sure because we have no way to fight them using amazon buy shipping it is just a way to hit us with another fee but call it a postal adjustment.
